Oscar Hauser and Adolfo Menet were photographers and printers from Madrid and had one of the largest printing companies of Spain from the end of the 19th century (1890) until 1979. They were known for the technical quality of their printing and applied the principle of the collotype, especially on post cards. Collotype (or phototype or also called light pressure) is a bichromate cell-gelatin process that is invented in 1856 by Alphonse Poitvin and was used for mechanical printing large volumes, before the cheaper offset lithography came on the market.
